1st assignment for 7th and 8th grade

Part of the reason I am going on this field expedition is to conduct research relevant to climate change. In 1-2 sentences, list some of the key factors to climate change.

  1. As more and more CO2 enters the atmosphere, the greenhouse layer gets thicker. This causes the climate to get warmer.

  2. Too many cars in the USA emmit CO2 into the atmosphere.

  3. In the Arctic region, the climate is getting warmer, which is having an effect on wildlife. For example, Polar Bears are loosing their home as the ice melts.

  4. The ocean water is getting warmer and becasue of that, the tropical storms that are forming are getting stronger and more frequent.

  5. From cows to cars, some things produce
carbon emissions. They trap in the atmosphere, causing our heat to be trapped in as well, which causes global warming and climate change.

  6. When people take any type of transportation anywhere (driving and flying) then that adds CO2 into our atmosphere. As the CO2 builds up. the ozone layer just keeps getting bigger.

  7. Emissions from cars and other machines that run on fossil fuels are creating a "blanket effect" in our atmosphere that traps heat and doesn't let it out. These emissions, namely CO2, are what cause the ecosystems on Earth to suffer.

  8. Factories which are very common in most countries emit CO2 which stay in the atmosphere. That traps heat in the atmosphere and makes Earth hotter.

  9. A change in the type, distribution and coverage of vegetation is a key factor of climate change. Some changes in climate may result in increased precipitation and warmth, resulting in improved plant growth and a growth of CO2 in the atmosphere.

  10. People are using more energy which makes them emit more gases into the atmosphere. The gases are thickening the ozone layer. So when sunlight hits the Earth, less of it leaves the Earth making it hotter. This is one of the factors that is involved in global warming.

  11. The atmosphere has a natural supply of Greenhouse gasses that capture the heat, and without the greenhouse supply the plants will be uninhabitable.

  12. More and more people are creating CO2 and when that CO2 gets realeased into the air, our atmosphere stops it from going out into space. Thus, tempatures are getting warmer and sea levals are rising due to melting ice glaciers.

  13. factory and car emitions contribute to global warming

  14. As CO2 fils more of the atmosphere, then the world will be warmer. Also as the water in the oceans get warmer then more storms are created.

  15. As the carbon cycle shows, carbon (or CO2) is entering the atmosphere in larger amounts due to fossil fuels being burned. These fuels being released, from cars and factories in urban areas, are causing the climate to gradually become warmer.

  16. Carbon dioxide in the air is making it warmer.

  17. There are many key factors why climate change is occurring. Some are Arctic sea loss, ocean variability, glaciers melting, polution, and changes in greenhouse gas.

  18. some key factors to climite chnage is the carbon dioxide that is being relesed into the air

  19. In some places, like the Arctic region, the climate is getting warmer. Polar bears are losing their homes because the ice is melting from the heat.

  20. People polluting and littering in our rivers and freshwater streams is a big consern.but cars emiting gases into the air is a very big concern and causing global warming.
